VIERA, Fla. - Bryce Harper officially has a hit in a professional game.
He came into the game in the fifth inning, pinch hitting for Jayson Werth, and got his first hit of the spring when he shot a 1-0 fastball to left for a single off Pedro Beato. Harper is playing right field in Werth's place, and will probably get another at-bat or two today.
Rick Ankiel is also in the game for the Nationals, replacing Michael Morse in left field.
