Nationals aren't concerned about Danny Espinosa's foot

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The morning after he fouled a pitch off the top of his right foot, Danny Espinosa's health appears to be such a low injury risk that the Nationals can almost pronounce him in good health without an X-ray.

Manager Jim Riggleman said Espinosa hadn't had an X-ray taken as of Wednesday morning, adding the second baseman was pushing to play today against the Astros. He'll likely play tomorrow, and though the Nationals will likely get an examination done on his foot, it would be more out of due diligence than any real concern.

"They just kept saying how he's fine. I think they probably will take an X-ray," Riggleman said. "The doctor I saw before I left (for Kissimmee) said he's fine."

Michael Morse, who missed last night's game because of an upset stomach from medicine he was taking for an abscessed tooth, is back in the Nationals' lineup today.
