One other note (and speaking of placeholders): Ross Detwiler will pitch Sunday's game against the Marlins before likely heading to minor league camp. The Nationals needed a pitcher to take a game and get John Lannan and Jordan Zimmermann in line for their first regular season starts. So the task falls to Detwiler, who's had an impressive camp but will start in the minors as the loser of the option game.
