MILWAUKEE - Heading into Miller Park on Monday night, looking to turn things around in a building where they'd won just two of their last 14, the Nationals didn't just come up short. They got embarrassed.
Corey Hart, who hadn't homered all season, hit three balls out of the park and drove in seven runs, leading Milwaukee to an 11-3 win over the Nationals on Monday night.
Tom Gorzelanny gave up six runs on eight hits in five innings, allowing three homers for the second time in three starts. Michael Morse hit a homer for the Nationals, who were only trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth. But Hart hit his second bomb off Gorzelanny in that inning, and his third came as part of a six-run eighth.
The Nationals are now 21-26, and have lost five of six on this road trip.
I'll have more from the clubhouse in a little bit.
