After scoring six runs in the first inning on Sunday against the Marlins, the Nationals held off Florida for an 8-4 win on Sunday at Nationals Park.
Jason Marquis allowed four runs (two earned) in 6 1/3 innings for his fifth win, which tied him for the National League lead. Ivan Rodriguez drove in three runs with a pair of hits, Roger Bernadina went 2-for-4 with a pair of infield singles and a walk and Jayson Werth also had two hits.
The win was just the eighth time the Nationals have beaten the Marlins in 29 games at Nationals Park since it opened in 2008.
I'll have more from the clubhouse in a little bit.
