Good afternoon. A couple injury updates from manager Jim Riggleman's press conference:
* Ryan Zimmerman was throwing with trainer Lee Kuntz before today's game, "a little further" than he's been throwing in the past, Riggleman said. But the third baseman is still only two weeks out of abdominal surgery, and it's too soon to guess if he's ahead or behind of schedule. "It's just more of what they've been doing, a little more time doing it and a little further distance with the throwing," Riggleman said. "But in terms of the timeline or anything like that, I really don't have anything."
* Todd Coffey is feeling better today after getting drilled just above the elbow with a line drive yesterday, and could be available to pitch again tomorrow. "That's a tough area. That's a spot that, if a pitcher gets that on his right arm, that's as bad a place as you could get it," Riggleman said. "Fortunately, it was a little above the elbow, enough so that it's not in that joint area as much. We're very encouraged today that when he came in, he felt good. He was able to go out and throw. He says he'll be out there tomorrow."
