Good morning from Nationals Park, and a happy Memorial Day to everyone out there.
It might not be such a happy Memorial Day for the Nationals, who are coming off a pair of one-run losses to the Padres and will face Roy Halladay and the Phillies this afternoon at 1:05 p.m. They've never scored more than two runs against him while he's been with the Phillies, and he's beaten them in all five starts he's made against them since coming to Philadelphia.
One more thing: There continues to be plenty of buzz that today might be the day Teddy finally wins a race. Now, that could be a ploy to raise interest, or it could be that the Teddy-always-loses tradition will change now that its proprietor (Stan Kasten) is gone. Or, there's another theory that should be, well, pretty obvious.
But I digress. Here are the lineups for both teams:
Phillies:
Rollins - SS
Polanco - 3B
Utley - 2B
Howard - 1B
Ibanez - LF
Ruiz - C
Brown - RF
Mayberry - CF
Halladay - P
Nationals:
Ankiel - CF
Espinosa - 2B
Werth - RF
Nix - LF
Morse - 1B
Ramos - C
Hairston - 3B
Cora - SS
Hernandez - P
