Nationals recall Yunesky Maya

Officially - though far from unexpectedly - the Nationals have recalled right-hander Yunesky Maya from Triple-A Syracuse. He'll get the start against the Padres today.

Maya, who signed a four-year deal with the Nationals last season, was 1-4 with a 3.79 ERA at Syracuse, though he held hitters to a .214 batting average. He was 0-3 for the Nationals last year with a 5.88 ERA.

He'll presumably be in the rotation for the next two or three trips through the rotation, while Tom Gorzelanny is on the disabled list with left elbow inflammation.
