BALTIMORE - After they scored 17 runs Friday night, setting a team record for runs since they came to Washington, the Nationals couldn't sustain their offensive outburst for more than a day.
They fell 8-3 to the Orioles on Saturday afternoon at Camden Yards, blowing a 2-0 lead in the third inning after taking it in the top of the inning. The series is tied at a game apiece, and the deciding game is tomorrow at 1:35 p.m.
John Lannan allowed six runs in six-plus innings for the Nationals, taking the loss. The Nationals scored both of their runs after Brandon Snyder made a fielding error on Laynce Nix's grounder in the third.
More from the clubhouse in a little bit.
