While the Nationals and Diamondbacks are scoreless in the third inning in Arizona, the big news of the day for the organization comes from Hagerstown. Bryce Harper got hit in the right leg with a pitch in the first inning of the Suns' game with Greensboro. He came out of the game, but reportedly walked off the field under his own power.
Nonetheless, the hit-by-pitch robbed fans of seeing a Harper/Ryan Zimmerman pairing at Hagerstown today; Zimmerman is playing the first game of his rehab assignment at Hagerstown, and has a walk and a RBI double already. The Nationals need him soon - they haven't scored in 20 innings - and if all goes well, they might get him before they come home on June 14.
