SAN DIEGO - For their third game against the Padres, the Nationals are trotting out what's easily their most unusual lineup of the year. But when their offense continues to struggle, what does it hurt to mix it up?
Jayson Werth is leading off for the Nationals tonight against San Diego. And in a tip of the cap to one of Riggleman's managerial mentors, Tony La Russa, pitcher John Lannan is hitting eighth.
Also, Jerry Hairston Jr. is back in the lineup, playing third base after missing three games with back spasms.
