SALISBURY, Md. - Low Single-A Hagerstown's Chris Manno worked a scoreless eighth inning for the Northern Division in the Strike Out Hunger South Atlantic League All-Star Game.
Manno, a left-hander, got Lexington's Adam Bailey to swing at a third strike before walking Asheville's Brett Tanos on four pitches. Augusta's Carlos Willoughby flew out to center and Greenville's Brandon Jacobs rolled over on a pitch for an inning-ending grounder to second.
This season, Manno is 1-3 with eight saves and a 1.13 ERA for the Suns. He was a 26th-round pick by the Nationals in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft.
Heading to the ninth, the Southern Division holds a 6-3 lead over the Northern Division.
Attendance at Perdue Stadium: 7,410.
