Jason Marquis took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, and got within 11 outs of it when he struck out Jack Wilson to start the inning. But his first pitch to Michael Pineda was a fastball way up in the strike zone, and Pineda blooped it in front of Roger Bernadina for a base hit. Marquis stranded two runners in the sixth, getting out of it with two groundouts after Ichiro Suzuki followed Pineda with another single, but he's lost his no-hitter.
The Nationals have only made Pineda throw 83 pitches through six innings, so they could be forced to hit off him for another inning or two. He's continued to shut them down with his live stuff, and we're still scoreless at Nationals Park.
