Nats' lead over Dodgers shaved to 6-5

A three-run third inning has the Nationals ahead of the Dodgers 6-2, and has the boo birds out at Chavez Ravine.

Rick Ankiel doubled home two runs and later scored when Ian Desmond beat out an infield single with two down.

Tom Gorzelanny has just allowed a leadoff double to Matt Kemp in the bottom of the third and James Loney's sac fly plated Kemp. Through two innings, the lefty had yielded two runs on four hits.

Washington took a 3-0 lead in the first on an RBI double by Michael Morse and Jayson Werth's two-run double. L.A. chipped away with single runs in the first and second.

Update: Gorzelanny seems determined to give back the cushion his offense has given him. It's now 6-5 after Gorzelanny intentionally walked No. 8 hitter Dioner Navarro to get to pitcher Ted Lilly, who just hit a two-run double and now has three RBIs on the night. Ryan ZImmerman gloved Rafael Furcal's hard smash for the third out.
