An update on tonight's Nationals-Diamondbacks game (updated)

The Nationals and Diamondbacks are here at Nationals Park for tonight's game, but after the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that shook the East Coast today, the team has delayed opening the gates until it can inspect the structural integrity of the park.

And I'm typing this from the sixth-floor press box. Awesome.

We'll keep you posted on the status of the game, but the guess here is it will be played, though it could start a little late. Check back for updates.

Update at 6:34 p.m.: They're getting ready to open the center field gates, and while we might have a slight delay, we will have baseball here tonight.

The gates opened a few minutes ago, and they're projecting a 7:25 p.m. start.
