The Nationals announced their roster for the Arizona Fall League this afternoon, confirming that they'll be sending outfielder Bryce Harper back to the desert, this time for a full season of fall ball.
Harper, the No. 1 pick in the 2010 draft, played on the taxi squad for the Scottsdale Scorpions last year after signing with the Nationals in August. He was only eligible to play two games a week at that point, but can play every day this season. He'll return to the field after straining his right hamstring and sitting out the end of the year at Double-A Harrisburg, though Harper could return to the Senators for the playoffs.
The Nationals will also send catcher Derek Norris and pitcher Sammy Solis back to the AFL, as well as two relievers: right-hander Rafael Martin, who signed with the team out of the Mexican League last spring, and right-hander Pat Lehman, who has 13 saves at Harrisburg and Single-A Potomac this year.
