The Nationals are rolling out an interesting lineup for tonight's game against the Reds - not just for the presence of Chris Marrero, but for the fact that Jayson Werth is in center field. He'll be back in the No. 2 spot tonight for the first time since July 2, and the Nationals will start Laynce Nix in right field. As they go through September trying to get Marrero playing time at first base, it wouldn't be surprising to see them stick Werth in center from time to time to get at-bats for Nix and Jonny Gomes.
Here are the lineups for both teams:
Nationals:
Desmond - SS
Werth - CF
Zimmerman - 3B
Morse - LF
Espinosa - 2B
Nix - RF
Marrero - 1B
Ramos - C
Detwiler - P
Reds:
Phillips - 2B
Sappelt - LF
Votto - 1B
Bruce - RF
Cairo - 3B
Stubbs - CF
Renteria - SS
Hanigan - C
Leake - P
