Zimmermann takes a tough-luck loss as Nationals fall to Diamondbacks

Jordan Zimmermann will have one more start this year, meaning the Nationals' top starter can't get to double-digit victories this year. Wins have lost some of their weight for pitchers, and it's because of losses like the one Zimmermann sustained on Tuesday night.

He allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings, but dropped to 8-11 when the Nationals couldn't score a run on the Diamondbacks. It was the sixth time this season he has allowed two earned runs or fewer and taken a loss.

The Nationals only had six hits on the night, none of them after the sixth inning.

More from the clubhouse in a little bit.
