MASN, the television home of the Orioles and Nationals, has announced that well-known Mid-Atlantic sports journalist Pete Kerzel has joined the network as full-time managing editor of MASNsports.com. Kerzel will begin shaping and overseeing sports news coverage at MASN beginning on Monday, January 3, 2011. Kerzel, a freelance writer for The Associated Press since 1981 has covered hundreds of games of the mid-Atlantic region's professional teams, including the Orioles, Nationals, Ravens, Wizards, Capitals, and D.C. United, as well as local college football and basketball. Most recently, he penned an Oriole-centric blog for PressBox and PressBoxOnline.com and provided Orioles coverage for CSNBaltimore.com.
