Losing pitcher Chris Tillman falls to 1-3, 4.66. He gave up seven hits and five runs over six innings. He matched season highs in runs and hits allowed. Marlon Bryrd's RBI single gave Texas a 1-0 lead in the first and they scored three in the 4th for a 4-0 edge. That inning featured a Chris Davis two-run double. When Nelson Cruz hit an opposite field homer to right in the 6th, Texas was up 5-0. It was his 31st homer. Brian Roberts, today batting third for the first time ever in the Majors, delivered an RBI single in the sixth for the Orioles. He went 1 for 3 in batting anywhere in the order except for leadoff for the first time since 2004. The Orioles have lost four in a row and fall to 2-6 on this ten-game homestand.
