Orioles announce Mother's Day and Father's Day Catch on the Field events for fans

Mother's Day Catch on the Field tickets on sale this Friday at 11 a.m.

The Orioles today announced that they will host a special Catch on the Field opportunity for parents and their children on both Mother's Day and Father's Day this season. The Mother's Day Catch on the Field will take place on Sunday, May 8, prior to the 1:35 p.m. game against the Oakland Athletics, while the Father's Day Catch on the Field will be on Sunday, June 19, prior to the 1:35 p.m. game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Beginning this Friday at 11:00 a.m., fans may purchase one of two ticket packages that include a pair of tickets for the Mother's Day game and a 25-minute pregame session of catch on the field at Oriole Park. Father's Day packages will go on sale on Tuesday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation.

The Mother's Day and Father's Day Catch on the Field packages are available for $200 ($100 for each additional participant) per game and include two Left Field Lower Box tickets (sections 82-84), the unique opportunity to play catch on the field for two participants, two soft baseballs and a donation to the Orioles Charitable Foundation. An upgraded Catch on the Field Package is available for $250 ($125 for each additional participant) and includes two Field Box tickets (sections 56-58), as well as the opportunity to play catch on the field for two participants, two soft baseballs and a donation to the Orioles Charitable Foundation. Registration on May 8, for the Mother's Day package and on June 19, for the Father's Day package will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Schaefer Circle, outside of Home Plate Plaza, located on the southwest corner of the ballpark between Gates D & E. Participants must check-in 15 minutes prior to their session. In the event of inclement weather, a makeup date will be determined. Upon completing a purchase transaction, an information packet will be mailed and will include tickets, important information, and a waiver of liability which must be completed by each participant.

The Orioles will also celebrate Mother's Day weekend and Father's Day weekend with four exclusive giveaway items. On May 7, the first 10,000 female fans 18 and over will receive an Orioles canvas tote presented by MLB Network. On May 8, Mother's Day, the Orioles will give away Orioles infinity scarves to the first 10,000 female fans 18 and over. The Orioles will also celebrate Father's Day with unique giveaways including an O's BBQ Tool Set presented by BGE on June 18, and a Father's Day newsboy cap on June 19. Both items will be given to the first 10,000 male fans 18 and over.
