Orioles' split-squad lineups against Detroit and Atlanta (pitchers added)

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Orioles will play the first of two scheduled split-squad game days today. Part of their roster will be at Ed Smith Stadium hosting the Tigers and part of the roster heads to North Port to play the Braves.

The Orioles (6-8-2) will also play two games on March 19, facing the Yankees and the Pirates.

Right-hander Kyle Gibson (0-0, 1.80 ERA), a possible O’s Opening Day starter, gets the home start in Sarasota versus the Tigers. Right-hander Spenser Watkins (0-0, 1.80 ERA) starts against the Braves.

Behind Watkins against Atlanta, the O's list lefty Drew Rom and righties Bryan Baker and Andrew Politi. Atlanta is listing Dylan Dodd, Dylan Lee, Raisel Iglesias, Nick Anderson, Jackson Stephens and Michael Tonkin on the mound. 

O's extra players from their farm for the home game are pitchers Tyler Burch, Nick Richmond, Connor Loeprich, Garrett Stallings, Jensen Elliott and Kevin Smith. They also have brought from their farm catchers Creed Willems and Ramon Rodriguez, infielders Greg Cullen, Max Wagner, Jacob Teter and Cadyn Grenier, and outfielders Robert Neustrom and Hudson Haskin

The Orioles beat a Red Sox split squad 6-4 on Sunday in Sarasota as Rutschman hit his second spring homer – a grand slam to left as a lefty hitter.

The Orioles have scored 51 runs their past eight games.

Bench coach Fredi González will manage the Orioles in Sarasota and Brandon Hyde will manage in North Port.

The Orioles have now added their minor league spring training schedule to Orioles.com and it can be found here. On a given day, the Triple-A and Double-A teams will be home and the two Single-A teams will play the same organization on the road. Or it could be the reverse with Single-A home. The schedule is subject to change and times are not yet set for some of the intrasquad games. Home games are free to fans at Twin Lakes Park.
