Do you know how I know it's almost time for baseball? Truck Day.
The annual tradition of packing up a 53-foot tractor trailer and shipping it off from Nats Park to Viera, Fla., took place on Monday. It gets you excited for pitchers and catchers reporting next Thursday, but it also means this next week is going to feel like the longest of the year.
Before the baseball season can begin, the football season must end. Reigning National League Most Valuable Player Bryce Harper took in the Broncos' 24-10 win over the Panthers in Super Bowl 50 with another MVP.
Thank you to @gatorade for an amazing time once again at the SuperBowl! Gotta say this was one of my favorite moments..As an athlete you respect the craft of other players, professionals! and this guy does it right every single day. It was a pleasure meeting the NBA MVP and fellow @underarmour athlete @stephencurry30! #Goat
Peyton's interview... Haha. You can't not love him!-- Trea Turner (@treavturner) February 8, 2016
Now back to baseball ... MASN's Dan Kolko knows what's up.
Baseball, you're up next.-- Dan Kolko (@masnKolko) February 8, 2016
Before spring training starts, Nats fans had the opportunity to get an in-depth look at the new skipper in town in "Dusty: A Baseball Journey" on MLB Network Tuesday night.
Honored to be able to share my story https://t.co/h7FwHeHHe8-- Dusty Baker (@dbaker_12) February 8, 2016
Just watched the @MLBNetwork doc on Dusty Baker. Fantastic piece. Gives Nats fans an in-depth look on their new skipper. Highly recommended.-- Dan Kolko (@masnKolko) February 10, 2016
Meanwhile across the pond, newcomer Daniel Murphy took part in the dizzy bat challenge with Eric Dier of the Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
There's one week left for final spring training preparations. But MASN Dan is also preparing for the regular season in his search for a new tailor.
Need a good, reasonably-priced tailor in the Arlington/Northern Virginia area. Anyone have someone they really like?-- Dan Kolko (@masnKolko) February 11, 2016
Keep those suits sharp, Dan. Now keeping them free of chocolate syrup may be a more daunting task ...
