BREWS & O'S AT GUINNESS OPEN GATE BREWERY

Orioles Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Analytics, Sig Mejdal, will be guest bartending alongside staff members and visiting with Orioles fans at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

HEROES CORNER: Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland

MEALS ON WHEELS OF CENTRAL MARYLAND delivers nutritious meals and provides support and safety-net services to help sustain health, promote independence, maintain economic stability, and improve the overall quality of life for seniors throughout the area. Established in 2021, Heroes Corner serves as a way for the Orioles to give back to the community and show their appreciation to our front-line workers by donating tickets to local organizations.

 

NATIONAL ANTHEM: 229th Army Band

Maryland National Guard's 229th Army Band will perform their rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. 

 

JUNE 1

SEA AT 7:05 P.M.

 

FIRST PITCH: Ashley Moore

MOORE, the principal of Empower Academy, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. 

 

BIRDLAND MEMBER REWARD: Mystery Mini Autograph Session

Current Orioles players will sign autographs for 100 Birdland Members in the Birdland Member Clubhouse prior to gates opening. 

 

RBI OPENING DAY

More than 600 members of the Orioles Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program will begin their season. The RBI season runs from June 1 through July 31. The Orioles provide bats, baseballs, and catchers gear to all 35 teams. 

 

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Anaya Green

GREEN will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. 

 

JUNE 2

LOU GEHRIG DAY

The Orioles will join Major League Baseball in celebrating the life and legacy of Lou Gehrig. All uniformed personnel will wear a special Lou Gehrig Day patch on their uniform and 4-ALS logos will appear throughout the ballpark. Speciality Lou Gehrig stamped baseballs signed by current Orioles will be available for purchase at Orioles.com/Auction from June 6 at 5:00 p.m. to June 12 at 10:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit I Am ALS. I Am ALS is a local organization, founded by ALS patient Brian Wallach and his wife, Sandra Abrevaya, focused on revolutionizing how we cure ALS by empowering and mobilizing patients, engaging with policy-makers, and offering vital resources for people impacted by ALS. 

 

FIRST PITCH: Hayden Poole

HAYDEN POOLE, the son of former O's reliever JIM POOLE, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. Jim Poole, a member of the Orioles from 1992-94, was diagnosed with ALS on June 15, 2021. 

 

LINEUP CARD DELIVERY: Matt Kurkjian

MATT KURKJIAN, brother of ESPN television personality and Maryland-native Tim Kurkjian, will deliver the lineup card to home plate prior to the game. Matt is a current ALS patient. 

 

COMMUNITY BOOTHS: I Am ALS, The Brigance Brigade, and the ALS Association

I Am ALS, The Brigance Brigade, and the ALS Association will each host a community booth along Eutaw St. prior to the game. The Orioles also donated tickets to each organization.

 

JUNE 3

CLE AT 7:05 P.M.

 

GIVEAWAY: Adley Rutschman "Welcome to the Show" T-Shirt

The first 15,000 fans ages 15 and older will receive an Adley Rutschman "Welcome to the Show" t-shirt. 

 

FRIDAY FIREWORKS

All fans are invited to stay for a fireworks show following the conclusion of the game. 

 

ALUMNI AUTOGRAPHS: Rick Krivda, Tippy Martinez, and John Parrish

O's Alumni, KRIVDA, MARTINEZ, and PARRISH, will be on Eutaw Street, near the New Era cap store, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to sign autographs for fans, free of cost.

 

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Autumn DeCosmo

DeCOSMO will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. She will also perform "This Land is Your Land" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning. 

 

JUNE 4

CLE AT 4:05 P.M.

 

GIVEAWAY: "This Is Birdland" T-Shirt, presented by Baltimore Area Chick-fil-A Restaurants

The first 15,000 fans ages 15 and older will receive a "This Is Birdland" t-shirt, presented by Baltimore Area Chick-fil-A Restaurants. 

 

BIRDLAND MEMBER REWARD: Birdland Member Early Entry Day

Ballpark gates will open an hour early exclusively for Birdland Members. They will have the ability to watch Orioles batting practice from the lower level seating bowl, and a limited number of Birdland Members will have the opportunity to shag fly balls from right field during the O's batting practice. 

 

MEET AND GREET: The Oriole Bird and Al Bumbry

The Oriole Bird and O's Alumnus BUMBRY will be at the Comcast Xfinity Store in White Marsh from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. 

 

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Tom Zepp

ZEPP will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. He will also perform "America The Beautiful" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning. 

 

JUNE 5

CLE AT 1:35 P.M.

 

BOY SCOUT DAY

More than 2,000 local Boy Scouts will be in attendance for the game. A local Boy Scout will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game, and the Boy Scouts of America Color Guard will present the colors from the field during the national anthem. 

 

MILITARY WELCOME

The Orioles will host 20 military members and their families from Luke's Wings at the game, providing them with complimentary game tickets, military themed O's caps, and a catered suite. Prior to the game, the guests will have the opportunity to take photos on field and to meet an Orioles player.

 

BIRDLAND MEMBER REWARD: Pancakes with Palmer

Birdland Members are invited to have brunch with Hall of Famer and Orioles Legend, Jim Palmer at 11:30 a.m. The brunch will also feature a Q&A and photo opportunities with Palmer. 

 

BROOKS ROBINSON HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR GAME

Thirty local high school seniors, chosen by the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association, will play in the annual Brooks Robinson High School All-Star Game. The game will take place following the conclusion of the Orioles game. Players and their families will be in attendance as the Orioles take on the Cleveland Guardians. 

 

Kids Run The Bases, presented by Weis Markets

All fans ages four to 14 will have the opportunity to run the bases following the game.

 

JUNE 8

JOHNSON will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

Play Ball Day, presented by Nike

As part Major League Baseball’s Play Ball campaign, the Orioles will host Play Ball Day, presented by Nike, at four local Maryland Title I schools, impacting more than 2,100 children. The schools include Walter P. Carter Elementary Middle (June 6), Magnolia Elementary (June 7), Gaywood Elementary (June 8), and Glen Avenue Elementary (June 9). Play Ball Day, presented by Nike, aims to grow the game of baseball, inspire recreational play in underserved areas, and teach life lessons including teamwork, perseverance, and resilience. JUNE 11

 

MLB play ball weekend

As part of MLB's Play Ball Weekend, the Orioles and Frederick Keys will welcome youth baseball and softball players to Play Ball at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium. Registered children ages 5 through 12 will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baserunning, hitting, and fielding from former Orioles players, as well as meet The Oriole Bird.
