Fedde and Ross head to Harrisburg for rehab starts

Right-hander Erick Fedde has worked out and rehabbed alongside right-hander Stephen Strasburg as they have both look to return to the Nationals.

Strasburg will get his return start Wednesday night against the Phillies, according to manager Davey Martinez.

Strasburg has been on the shelf since July 22 with a cervical nerve impingement. Fedde has been out since July 5 with right shoulder inflammation.

Fedde sought out advice from Strasburg as they both rehabbed. He has gone 1-3 with a 5.79 ERA in six starts for the Nats. He has recorded 19 strikeouts in 28 innings.

Ross has had three starts so far as he rehabs from Tommy John surgery: Aug. 6, 11 and 16. The first two were with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Nationals and the most recent start was for high Single-A Potomac. In that game, Ross tossed 3 2/3 innings, allowing no runs on one hit with two hit batters, one walk and one strikeout. He threw 63 pitches, 39 for strikes.
