Nationals announce roster moves

The Washington Nationals announced the following roster moves on Tuesday. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcements.

* Placed right-handed pitcher Will Harris (right hand inflammation) on the 10-day Injured List retroactive to March 29. Washington also placed catcher Alex Avila, first baseman Josh Bell, left-handed pitcher Patrick Corbin, catcher Yan Gomes, left-handed pitcher Brad Hand, infielder Josh Harrison, left-handed pitcher Jon Lester, infielder Jordy Mercer and left fielder Kyle Schwarber on the Injured List.

* Recalled catcher Tres Barrera, right-handed pitcher Sam Clay, infielder Luis García, right-handed pitcher Ryne Harper, outfielder Yadiel Hernandez, infielder Carter Kieboom and right-handed pitcher Kyle McGowin to the Major League roster.

* Selected the contract of catcher Jonathan Lucroy to the Major League roster.

* Selected outfielder Cody Wilson to the Major League roster as a Replacement Player.

The Nationals’ 26-man roster is comprised of 13 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders, and five outfielders.

Starters: RHPs Joe Ross, Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg
Relivers: LHPs Luis Avilán and Sam Clay; RHPs Erick Fedde, Kyle Finnegan, Ryne Harper, Daniel Hudson, Kyle McGowin, Tanner Rainey, Wander Suero and Austin Voth
Catchers: Tres Barrera and Jonathan Lucroy
Infielders: Starlin Castro, Luis García, Carter Kieboom, Hernán Pérez, Trea Turner and Ryan Zimmerman
