Game 130 lineups: Nats at Cubs

CHICAGO - The Cubs have been lights-out at home this season. They entered the weekend a staggering 14-1-4 in home series, the lone loss coming in late May when they dropped two of three to the Reds. And then the Nationals came to town and blew that narrative out of the water.

With back-to-back lopsided wins the last two days, the Nats already have won this series. Now they have a chance to pull off an impressive three-game sweep with another win this afternoon.

Strasburg-Gray-NLDS-Sidebar.jpgThe Nationals have Stephen Strasburg on the mound, and he’s been very good at Wrigley Field during his career, with a 1.99 ERA in three starts here. He hasn’t started a regular season game here since 2013, but he’s certainly pitched here since then. You may remember his seven scoreless innings and 12 strikeouts in Game 4 of the 2017 National League Division Series.

The Nationals are facing a lefty for the fourth consecutive day, this time in the form of veteran Cole Hamels. Davey Martinez is giving Adam Eaton and Howie Kendrick the day off after each started the last three games. So it’s Victor Robles batting second, Gerardo Parra in right field and Asdrúbal Cabrera making his first career appearance at first base. The veteran middle infielder has been working out at first since he joined the team earlier this month. We’ll see how comfortable he is.
