Bryce Harper playing center field today

With the Nationals facing a left-hander today in the Dodgers' Chris Capuano, Rick Ankiel will get the day off and Bryce Harper will play center field. Harper played left field in his major league debut yesterday, and is likely to get the bulk of his playing time at the big league level (at least, for now) in left. Against lefties, however, manager Davey Johnson will continue to sit Ankiel, and today, Harper will take over the Nats' center field duties. Tyler Moore has not yet officially been added to the Nats' 25-man roster, and is not in Washington's lineup today. Here's are today's lineups as the Nats look to avoid the sweep against the Dodgers: Nationals SS Ian Desmond 3B Steve Lombardozzi RF Jayson Werth 1B Adam LaRoche LF Xavier Nady 2B Danny Espinosa CF Bryce Harper C Jesus Flores P Gio Gonzalez Dodgers LF Tony Gwynn Jr. 2B Mark Ellis CF Matt Kemp RF Andre Ethier 3B Juan Uribe 1B James Loney SS Justin Sellers C Matt Treanor P Chris Capuano
