Game 107 lineups: Nats at Diamondbacks (Harper scratched)

PHOENIX - The Nationals lineup exploded for 14 runs on 19 hits (none of them homers) last night in their rout over the Diamondbacks. They certainly didn't wind up needing that much offense to win the series opener, but Dusty Baker wasn't concerned about that.

"I know a lot of people say, 'Why don't you save some runs for tomorrow?' " the manager said. "But I hope that they memorize how to do that."

We'll see if there's any carryover effect tonight against left-hander Robbie Ray, who you may remember as a one-time Nationals prospect and key piece of the trade that brought Doug Fister to D.C. from Detroit. Ray has been erratic (5-10, 4.70 ERA in 21 starts), but he also has 143 strikeouts in only 115 innings, so the stuff is there.

Ryan Zimmerman is out of the lineup for the second straight night, his left wrist still bothering him enough to keep him from starting. Daniel Murphy will play first base tonight, with Trea Turner at second base and Chris Heisey in center field. Tanner Roark gets the ball for the Nats, looking to go at least seven innings for the seventh time in his last eight starts.

Update: Bryce Harper has now been scratched from the Nationals lineup with an illness, according to the club. There has been something going around the clubhouse for a couple weeks now, first getting Anthony Rendon and Stephen Drew and now apparently getting Harper. Sammy Solis has been under the weather the last few days as well, though it's unclear if it will prevent the lefty from pitching...
