Game 122 lineups: Nats at Padres

SAN DIEGO - It's another gorgeous day at Petco Park, where the Nationals will attempt to take the finale of this weekend series and head out of town having won three of four against the Padres in advance of a big series later this week in Houston.

Daniel-Murphy-fives-dugout-gray-sidebar.jpgDaniel Murphy returns to the lineup after being scratched last night. The Nats will hope that helps inject some life into a batting order that was held to three hits and two walks last night by lefty Travis Wood and two San Diego relievers.
Today they'll be facing rookie Dinelson Lamet, a promising young right-hander who has been erratic (7-4, 4.78 ERA in 14 starts) but has the goods (92 strikeouts in 75 1/3 innings) and is getting better with more experience (4-0, 2.37 ERA over his last five starts).

Gio Gonzalez doesn't need to get any better; he's been excellent since opening day. The lefty today seeks his 12th win of the season, which would be his most since he won 21 and was a Cy Young Award finalist back in 2012.
