Out of the Park: MVPs take in the Super Bowl with baseball returning in a week

Do you know how I know it's almost time for baseball? Truck Day.

The annual tradition of packing up a 53-foot tractor trailer and shipping it off from Nats Park to Viera, Fla., took place on Monday. It gets you excited for pitchers and catchers reporting next Thursday, but it also means this next week is going to feel like the longest of the year.

Before the baseball season can begin, the football season must end. Reigning National League Most Valuable Player Bryce Harper took in the Broncos' 24-10 win over the Panthers in Super Bowl 50 with another MVP.

Nationals and D.C. sports fans have to love seeing Harper sporting a Redskins hat at the big game. Meanwhile, Trea Turner soaked in Peyton Manning's possible last postgame interview.

Now back to baseball ... MASN's Dan Kolko knows what's up.

Before spring training starts, Nats fans had the opportunity to get an in-depth look at the new skipper in town in "Dusty: A Baseball Journey" on MLB Network Tuesday night.

Meanwhile across the pond, newcomer Daniel Murphy took part in the dizzy bat challenge with Eric Dier of the Tottenham Hotspur F.C.

There's one week left for final spring training preparations. But MASN Dan is also preparing for the regular season in his search for a new tailor.

Keep those suits sharp, Dan. Now keeping them free of chocolate syrup may be a more daunting task ...
