Out of the Park: Nationals family takes on football, basketball and the holiday season

Happy holidays, NatsTown! I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving weekend and is getting into the holiday spirit with your favorite decorations, movies and music.

I apologize for not posting an "Out of the Park" last week; I played in my dad and his friends' annual B.S. Bowl. I won't bother explaining what B.S. stands for, but I will say that I channeled my inner Sean Taylor playing safety and honored the late Redskins great on the eighth anniversary of his tragic death with two interceptions. Rest in peace, No. 21.

Now on to the best of the Nationals outside of Nats Park, and in speaking of the Redskins, MASN's F.P. Santangelo attended his first game at FedEx Field as Washington took over first place in the NFC East with a win over the Giants.

It was a big week for F.P. as he also announced he will be hosting the "Nats Hot Stove Show" this offseason on 106.7 The Fan beginning Saturday from 10-11 a.m.

After the mad rush that is Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, Nats outfielder Clint Robinson took some time to help the less fortunate on Giving Tuesday.

Later Tuesday night, a couple of MASN favorites made a trip down to North Carolina to take in some top 10 college basketball. Dan Kolko and Johnny Holliday were able to catch up in Chapel Hill and watch No. 2 Maryland take on No. 9 North Carolina. While Johnny was on the radio call for the Terps, Dan looks like he went as a fan.

I'm adding Dan's shirt to my Christmas list. Now that we're shifting to the holidays ...

Bryce Harper took to Instagram to show that he's in the holiday spirit by watching "Elf". Buddy is to Santa's workshop what Harper is to the National League: MVP.

That time of year! "Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color" #ELF

F.P. joined in the spirit at the National Christmas Tree lighting in D.C. last night.

Meanwhile, among all the sports watching and holiday activities, catcher Wilson Ramos was putting in work.

Way to go, Buffalo, and thank you for inspiring the rest of us to get to the gym after a weekend of eating, watching TV and more eating.
