Send Anthony Rendon to All-Star Game in Final Vote

Entering Sunday before the 2017 All-Star teams were announced, Anthony Rendon was batting .298 with 16 home runs and 60 RBIs, already the most he's had for the first half of a season in his career. His .399 on-base percentage, .555 slugging percentage and .954 OPS led all qualifying National League third baseman. And his 3.4 WAR currently ranks first among all major league third basemen, third overall in the league and fifth in all of baseball.

Oh, and have you seen what he can do with his glove at the hot corner? Not to mention his historic six-for-six, three-homer, 10-RBI game in April.

If that's not All-Star worthy, then I don't know what is.

Anthony-Rendon-swing-white-sidebar.jpgJust short of being selected to this year's Midsummer Classic in Miami, Rendon is one of five NL players named to the MLB All-Star Game Final Vote ballot. That, of course, means it's up to the fans to send Tony Two-Bags to South Beach so he can join his five other Nationals teammates who were selected.

Although also named to the Final Vote ballot in 2014 (a year in which he finished fifth in the NL MVP voting and won a Silver Slugger Award), Rendon has never been named an All-Star in his already impressive young career.

There's no time like the present ...

So be sure to hope online and on your mobile devices to cast your votes for Rendon in the NL ballot to send him to the All-Star Game. You can visit mlb.com/all-star/final-vote, text "N3" to 89269 (USA) or 101010 (Canada), and use #VoteRendon on social media! Voting concludes at 4 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, July 6.

Get to voting!
