Send Trea Turner to All-Star Game through MLB's Final Vote

We now know which Nationals will represent the host city in this year's MLB All-Star Game. Bryce Harper, Max Scherzer and Sean Doolittle have officially been selected to the National League All-Star team and will represent D.C. at Nats Park during the upcoming Midsummer Classic.

But there could be one more.

While Trea Turner wasn't selected in the initial All-Star ballot, you can still send the Nationals shortstop to the All-Star Game via the Final Vote taking place this week!

Trea-Turner-swing-blue-sidebar.jpgWhy should you vote for Turner? Well, besides being Anthony Rendon's favorite player and the game obviously being held in his home ballpark, Turner is slashing .278/.355/.419 and is on pace to set new career highs with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs already. Not to mention, he leads all NL shortstops with a 3.5 WAR and is tied for third in the league with 22 stolen bases.

And don't forget, he's coming off a game last Thursday when he hit two home runs (including a grand slam) and recorded a career-high eight RBIs.

Turner is going up against the Brewers' Jesus Aguilar, the Giants' Brandon Belt, the Cardinals' Matt Carpenter and the Dodgers' Max Muncy in the NL Final Vote.

So start voting to send Turner to his first All-Star Game! You can vote for Turner on the official Final Vote ballot here. Voting ends on Wednesday, July 11 at 4 p.m.
