This, that and tonight's lineups

PHILADELPHIA - In New York, R.A. Dickey is in line for his 20th win of the season, which would tie him with Gio Gonzalez for the most in the majors. Dickey notched 13 strikeouts through 7 2/3 innings of work, allowing three runs. The NL Cy Young race between Gonzalez, Dickey and Braves closer Craig Kimbrel looks like it'll come down to the wire. Gonzalez will have a chance to bolster his chances tonight when he faces the Phillies in the series finale between these two teams. The Reds beat the Brewers in walk-off fashion in the ninth just a few minutes ago, bringing them to within a half-game of the Nationals for the best record in the majors. Back in D.C., the Metropolitan Area Transit Authority will make an announcement at 5 p.m. today at Navy Yard-Ballpark Station regarding its plans for late-night service during postseason play. The issues with late-night Metro access are well-documented, and the problems will only worsen in the postseason, when the night games start later and often run longer than regular season games. The Nationals will face Phillies righty Tyler Cloyd tonight, and not Roy Halladay, whose start was pushed back because of shoulder issues. Cloyd has made just five big league starts, going 2-1 with a 3.86 ERA. His last time out, Cloyd went eight innings, allowing just one run on three hits in a win over the Mets. Danny Espinosa is back in the Nationals' lineup after Davey Johnson started Steve Lombardozzi at second yesterday. Johnson said that he felt Espinosa was "pressing" a bit, and he wanted to get Lombardozzi some at-bats, but Espinosa returns to the starting lineup tonight.
