Wacky third inning puts Nats in a hole (instant update)

We had a strikeout of the pitcher, who then reached on a wild pitch. We had a ball deflect off Ross Detwiler and go for a single. We had a 5-2-6 putout in which a runner was tagged out trying to score. We had a runner score from second on an infield single. Yeah, it was a strange bottom of the third inning. The Pirates lead 3-0 after three, and despite the fact that Pittsburgh starter Erik Bedard was pulled in the top of the second inning due to an apparent injury, the Nats still don't have a base hit. Pittsburgh put together four hits in the third, and thanks to all the weird occurrences, has jumped on top of Detwiler, whose ERA has gone from 1.59 before the game to 2.30. The Nats, on the other hand, have gone nine-up, nine-down. Interesting start. Update: Washington has now gotten in both the hit column and the run column after a Bryce Harper walk, an error on the third baseman who was playing where the second baseman normally would and an RBI single by Xavier Nady. It's 3-1 Pirates. Very strange game so far.
