Winter Meetings: Let's get started!

NASHVILLE - Season's greetings from the Winter Meetings!

I hope you're all as excited as I am for the start of this year's baseball Winter Meetings, as we are bringing everything to you live from the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. The MASNsports.com crew is off to a good start to the week, as our flight from Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport landed in Music City about 20 minutes ahead of schedule. We were able to grab lunch and settle into the media workroom to prepare for the week ahead.

Over the course of the next couple of days, I'm sure you'll be following along as my collegues Chris Johnson and Pete Kerzel bring you the latest Nationals rumors and news. We've already had some news (or not news) about the Nats missing out on signing free agent reliever Darren O'Day after reports said he was re-signing with the Orioles and then O'Day tweeting those reports were "premature."

But be sure to check back here, too, as I'll be bringing you a behind-the-scenes look at this week's activities.
