Battle of the Birds comes to Baltimore

Battle-of-the-Birds_4.jpg This Friday when the Birds come home to Baltimore to take on their local baseball counterparts, the Washington Nationals, their matchup won't be the only one taking place in Charm City. The Oriole Bird and the Nats' eagle mascot, Screech, will compete once again in the ESPN Zone's second annual Battle of the Birds. The birds first met in DC this year when the O's took on the Nats in the nation's capital in May where they competed in a series of events for the Golden Birdhouse trophy. Starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 26, the Oriole Bird and Screech will again try their wings at arm wrestling, tug-o-war, air hockey, and more at the ESPN Zone in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Both birds will also sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans before heading up the street to Camden Yards to lead fans of both teams in cheering for the Orioles and the Nationals when the teams start their own series at 7:05 p.m.
