Game 148 lineups: Nats vs. Dodgers

The Nationals are looking to bounce back from an uncomfortable 7-0 loss to the Dodgers to open the three-game series between National League heavyweights. Three early home runs were too much to overcome and the Nats offense struggled to get a rally going all night.

The Nats do have some players on upward trends.

Shortstop Trea Turner is holding steady at 40 steals on the season, one away from the all-time Nats franchise record of 41 by Alfonso Soriano in 2006. Turner has slashed .371/.421/.686 in his last nine games.

On Thursday, outfielder Victor Robles became the youngest player in the major leagues this season to hit a triple, at 20 years and 118 days, according to Elias Sports Bureau. Bryce Harper was the youngest National to do it when he hit nine triples before the age of 20.

Outfielder Michael A. Taylor is hitting .433 (13-for-30) in his last eight games, with three homers and nine RBIs. First baseman Ryan Zimmerman's double Friday was his 29th of the season. He needs one double to reach the 30-homer/30-double plateau for the second time in his career (2009: 33 homers, 37 doubles). His slash line is .300/.391/.433 in the last 17 games.

The Nats send A.J. Cole (2-4, 4.30 ERA) to the mound to face Dodgers left-hander Rich Hill (9-8, 3.67 ERA). This is Cole's first ever game against the Dodgers. Hill spent the 2015 spring training with the Nats.
