Game 15 lineups: Nats at Mets

The Nationals love wearing their gray road uniforms. The Nats are finding all kinds of ways to win games, blowouts and pitcher's duels, all on the road. They won Monday night, 16-4, and Tuesday night, 2-1. Overall, they are 4-0 on the road this season, counting the two games with Toronto that had to be played at Nats Park.

Manager Davey Martinez joked after their first game in New York they might wear the gray road uniforms more often. The Nationals are now 66-42 (.611) in their last 108 games at Citi Field. With a win tonight, the Nats would get back to the .500 mark.

Right-hander Aníbal Sánchez is looking to bounce back after two starts that did not go his way. He allowed four runs against the Blue Jays on July 27 and five runs Aug. 7 versus the Orioles. He is 0-2 with a 7.84 ERA.

Turner-HR-Swing-Gray-sidebar.jpgSánchez will be taking on Mets right-hander Robert Gsellman, who is making his first start since 2017. In his career, Gsellman is 11-9 with 4.60 ERA over 29 starts. In 156 2/3 innings he has allowed 174 hits and 53 walks and struck out 118.

Trea Turner has two homers and five hits with four RBIs in the series. Victor Robles has three hits in the two games, with two RBIs, and has been hit by a pitch both nights. Howie Kendrick has four hits and an RBI in the series.

Turner is 7-for-17 (.412) the last four games. His home run last night was his 10th leadoff homer for the Nats, a new club record. Alfonso Soriano held the previous record, nine. Soriano hit a career-best 46 homers for the Nats in 2006.
