Game 17 lineups: Nats at Orioles

Right-hander Stephen Strasburg starts tonight's regularly scheduled game at Camden Yards against the Orioles left-hander Tommy Milone.

Manager Davey Martinez is still concerned about the nerve issue in Strasburg's hand, so the will monitor him closely throughout tonight's game.

Strasburg-Dealing-at-NYM-Gray-Sidebar.jpg"He says he is ready to go," Martinez said during a pregame Zoom video call. "We are going to send him out there, we will keep an eye on him. I think it's more of the ups for him as opposed to the pitch count. As the game gets in progress and we start getting into that fourth, fifth inning, we will keep a close eye on him and see where he's at."

Strasburg (0-0, 10.38 ERA) made an appearance during Thursday's game in New York for a moment at least. He was ejected from the stands behind the Nats dugout by home plate umpire Carlos Torres for yelling out his opinion regarding the strike zone for teammate Austin Voth.

Voth appreciated Strasburg standing up for him.

"Makes me feel good," Voth said last night during last night's postgame Zoom video call. "Just knowing that he has my back and knowing that he's watching me pitch and got eyes on the umpire to see like how the game is going and he's fighting for me. That's great. That's what I want."

Martinez confirmed the Nationals will have a 29th player available for the second game and it will be right-hander Ryne Harper.

Second baseman Starlin Castro went down with a broken right wrist in the completion of the suspended game and has been placed on the 10-day injured list. Highly rated prospect Luis García has been promoted from the taxi squad and start at second base. Last season, he was ranked as the game's No. 95 prospect in MLBPipeline.com top 200 prospects.
