Jones in Orioles lineup

The Orioles will try to avoid stretching their losing streak to 19 games tonight with the Angels in town.

Kelvin Gutiérrez was recalled this afternoon from Triple-A Norfolk to fill out the 26-man roster. He joins Jahmai Jones, who received the news yesterday.

Jones-Throws-Orange-2B-Spring-Sidebar.jpgJones is starting at second base tonight against his former team. Jorge Mateo is the shortstop and Ramón Urías is playing third base.

Anthony Santander is in right field. Trey Mancini is the designated hitter.

Urías has five extra-base hits in his last four games for the first time in his career - three doubles and two home runs.

Rookie Spenser Watkins has allowed at least four runs in five consecutive starts after surrendering only one run in each of his first three. He has an 8.39 ERA in those five starts over 23 2/3 innings.

The Orioles have allowed five runs or fewer in three consecutive games after surrendering six or more in eight straight.

Dylan Bundy returns to Baltimore for the first time since the trade. He's 2-9 with a 6.04 ERA and 1.332 WHIP in 22 appearances.

Jones is wearing No. 37, which used to belong to Bundy.

Shohei Ohtani comes to Camden Yards leading the majors with 40 home runs and is 8-1 with a 2.79 ERA and 120 strikeouts in 100 innings. He starts Wednesday night.

The Orioles lost two of three games to the Angels at Camden Yards in 2019 and won three of four in Anaheim. Their last three-game sweep at home was in 2010. The Angels swept a three-game series in 2002.
