O's and Sox tied after 6

The fourth inning brought more clutch hitting by the Red Sox. Jason Varitek drove in Mike Lowell to get the Red Sox their third run of the game. In the fifth, Brian Roberts hit his 50th double of the year, stole third and scored on a Nolan Reimold sac-fly. Nick Markakis followed with a single, but Mora flew out to right to end the inning. The Orioles escaped the fifth down only by one, but it could have been much worse. With one out and runners on first and second, Jason Berken struck out Jason Bay and then Nolan Reimold scooped up a hit by Mike Lowell and gunned down Kevin Youkilis at the plate to end the inning. That play may have changed the momentum for the Orioles, because in the sixth they would go on to score two runs on the Boston bullpen. Brian Roberts and Felix Pie both had RBI's in the inning. Nolan Reimold and Nick Markakis both struck out with the bases loaded and that would come back to hurt the Orioles. In the bottom of the inning the Sox would score a run to tie the game 4-4. Jason Berken gave up three earned runs on three strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings.
