O's groundskeeper Sherry gives greening tips on "Rachael Ray"

We all know what Orioles head groundskeeper Nicole Sherry does with the field at Camden Yards is downright masterful. Now the whole nation knows - and is well-armed with some tips to make their own yards a little greener.

Sherry-Waters-Field-Sidebar.jpgSherry was a guest on "Rachael Ray" earlier today and used her appearance on the syndicated program to dispense some helpful tips on lawn care.

Think about it: a major league groundskeeper telling you how to better care for your lawn? Who doesn't need that kind of free advice?

Among the topics she discussed were learning about grass types and geography, proper seeding, watering and soil testing.

If you missed Sherry's turn before a national audience, check out the clip below. And if you want to see her handiwork, just visit Camden Yards (or check out the lush greenery when MASN broadcasts the Orioles' home opener against the Yankees on Thursday).

In the meantime, pay attention to Sherry's five tips for getting your own lawn ready for spring.
