Orioles and Cardinals lineups

ST. LOUIS – Ramón Urías is out of the Orioles lineup for tonight’s game against the Cardinals.

Urías was a late scratch last night due to discomfort in his abdomen, which he noticed in batting practice.

Chris Owings is the shortstop, with Rougned Odor at second base and Tyler Nevin at third.

Jorge Mateo also is on the bench.

Cedric Mullins recorded his 100th career RBI last night and had a season-high four hits. He has three home runs in his last six games and six extra-base hits in his last seven.

Spenser Watkins will try to give the Orioles a fifth consecutive quality start, though he hasn’t pitched more than five innings in any of his five outings.

He’s allowed three runs or fewer in those starts.

Per STATS, Kyle Bradish is the 11th Orioles pitcher to throw seven or more innings, walk none and strike out at least 11.

The Orioles have won five of their last seven games against the Cardinals dating back to 2014.

The Orioles have won three in a row and seven of their last 10 while improving to 13-17.

The three double plays turned last night are the most against St. Louis this season. The Orioles lead the American League with 37 and are second in the majors.

Cardinals right-hander Miles Mikolas has a 1.53 ERA and 0.991 WHIP in six starts. He’s walked seven batters and surrendered two home runs in 35 1/3 innings.

In his only career start against the Orioles, he allowed three runs and three hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Paul Goldschmidt has reached base safely in 17 straight games.

Juan Yepez is the seventh Cardinals player with 10 hits in his first six career games, joining Bo Hart (15), Ken Reitz (12), Stan Musial (12), Emil Verban (11), Enos Slaughter (11) and Terry Pendleton (10).

Yadier Molina collected his 2,127th career hit, tying Mike Piazza for sixth all-time among primary catchers. His 518th extra-base hit tied Brian McCann and Benito Santiago for 13th.

Molina has gone 11-for-35 (.314) during a nine-game hitting streak.
