OriolesREACH hosts annual holiday party

Although the season is over, that doesn't necessarily mean players are done for the year. Earlier this afternoon, Trey Mancini, Mike Wright and Tim Beckham joined MASN broadcaster Jim Hunter and former Orioles Al Bumbry, Larry Bigbie and Scott McGregor at the annual Orioles REACH Holiday Party at the Dave & Busters at Arundel Mills Mall.

Players went head-to-head with 80 third- through fifth-graders from John Ruhrah Elementary/Middle School, one of Baltimore's largest English as a Second Language (ESOL) sites, and even helped some of them elevate their arcade game skills.

After a fun-filled morning of games, the band of O's players past and present served food to each child, took photos and gave them autographed photocards. The students also took photos with Santa Bird and received swag bags full of gifts including toys, books, Orioles gear and much more.

This is the 39th year the Orioles have hosted children from disadvantaged areas of Baltimore for a holiday party. A different school is selected each year.
