Out of the Park: Friends Day and Truck Day as spring training nears

We are just under two weeks away from pitchers and catchers reporting to Sarasota, Fla., marking the return of baseball!

With that in mind, Caleb Joseph is taking in his last remaining days of the offseason to enjoy himself by going to the NHL All-Star Game in his hometown of Nashville this past weekend.

Other players, however, can't wait for the offseason to end and get back on the field, including Orioles pitching prospect Hunter Harvey, who missed all of 2015 due to injuries.

Spring training also means the reuion of teammates and friends. Luckily, we celebrated Friends Day this past week and we might have the two best friends in all of baseball right here in Baltimore with Manny Machado and Jonathan Schoop.

So many 5-4-3 double plays coming soon, along with so many handshakes.

Everyone around here is friends with Adam Jones, which is why MASN's Jim Hunter and MASNsports.com's Roch Kubatko are trying to get him to join the "Hot Stove Show" next week.

Join us at Dempsey's Brew Pub & Restaurant or tune in to 105.7 The Fan next Thursday to see if Jones makes an appearance!

Besides the show and all the roster moves, yesterday was also a big day in that it was Loading and Truck Day at Camden Yards! The Oriole Bird was there to send off the truck carrying all the O's gear as it departed for the Ed Smith Stadium Complex.

Thirteen days, Birdland.

Bonus: Newly aquired right-hander Odrisamer Despaigne tweeted out a message yesterday expressing his excitement to join to Orioles. Be sure to follow the newest Oriole and welcome him to Baltimore!
