Wieters has two homers and 8 RBI over the past two games. In the three games of this series vs. Tampa, Wieters is 5 for 10 with two homers and 9 RBI. Over his last 11 games, he is batting .333 (13 for 39) with two homers and 9 RBI. The gun - Carl Crawford, the AL stolen base leader in four of the last six seasons, was thrown out trying to steal second twice tonight by catcher Matt Wieters. This is just the second time in his career Crawford has been thrown out twice in the same game. Gerald Laird of Texas first did it on April 10, 2007. Crawford, who has 56 steals on the year, was caught stealing tonight by Wieters in the 4th and 6th innings. Melvin Mora was 2 for 4 tonight with a single and double. He is 6 for 15 during a four-game hit streak and, over his last 15 games, is batting .345-3-9. Luke Scott went 1 for 3 with an RBI double. In this series, Scott is 4 for 10 with a homer and 4 RBI. The O's improve to 36-38 in home games and 12-17 in games decided by two runs. A different year - The O's improve to 7-6 on the year vs. Tampa (3-15 last year vs. Rays).
