Post-game Notes: Tribe walks off to victory

The pen was not mightier - The O's struggling bullpen continue in that fashion on Saturday night. The Tribe rallied for four runs in the 7th vs. Sean Henn and Chris Ray and scored in the 9th to beat Jim Johnson. The O's pen tonight allowed seven hits and five runs in 4 2/3 innings. The bullpen ERA is 7.99 over the last seven games. The O's losing streak has reached nine in a row since a 4-2 win over Tampa on September 16th. For the second time in four games, the O's opponent won in walk-off fashion. Four of the losses in the losing streak have been by two runs or less. O's pitching has allowed 55 runs the last seven games and 61 runs during the nine-game losing streak. The last losing streak longer was a ten-game streak from September 17-26, 2008. More from Matt - Matt Wieters went 2 for 4 tonight with an RBI double. He is batting .435 (20 for 46) over his last 12 games with three homers and 13 RBI. Wieters is 14 for 30 (.467) since being moved to third in the batting order. Luke Scott's three-run homer in the 5th gave the O's a 5-4 lead and was his 25th homer of the season. Scott went 3 for 5. Over his last 10 games, he has 11 hits with four homers and four doubles. Robert Andino hit a solo homer in the 5th inning. It was just his second homer of the year. He hit his first June 18th vs. the Mets. It was his 4th career homer. Aubrey stays hot - Micheal Aubrey was 2 for 3 with a solo homer. Aubrey is 9 for 23 (.391) during a six-game hitting streak with two homers and 5 RBI. Cleveland entered this series with 11 losses in a row and 15 in 16 games. The Tribe improves to 33-44 at home, 18-17 vs. the AL East and 4-2 vs. the Orioles. The O's fall to 0-5 on this ten-game road trip and 24-52 on the road on the year. O's starter Jason Berken struggled for the third start in a row. Over that stretch he has allowed 15ER and 25 hits in 13 innings.
