Tribe with a walk-off win, 9-8 over O's

Jhonny Peralta's RBI single in the last of the 9th gave Cleveland a 9-8 walk-off win over the Orioles Saturday night, after the Birds had rallied to tie it in the top of the ninth. Luis Valbuena singled off Jim Johnson leading off the 9th and advanced to second on a grounder. Peralta's 2nd RBI of the night was the game winner. The Orioles have now lost nine games in a row.

The O's went to the 9th down 8-6, but the first three reached vs. Kerry Wood on two singles and a walk. A Nick Markakis sac fly made it 8-7 and a Melvin Mora sac fly tied the game, 8-8. Cleveland scored four off Jason Berken in the 4th before the O's took the lead with a five-run 5th. Robert Andino led off the inning with a homer and later Matt Wieters added an RBI double. Luke Scott's three-run homer, his 25th on the year, made it a 5-4 O's lead. Micheal Aubrey's solo homer in the 6th made it a 6-4 game. The struggling O's bullpen could not hold the lead. Cleveland scored four in the 7th off Sean Henn and Chris Ray. Peralta's RBI double put the Tribe ahead 7-6. Andy Marte had a two-run homer and 3 RBI for Cleveland. O's starter Jason Berken gave up four runs and eight hits over 3 2/3 innings. The O's have lost 11 of 13 and 17 of the last 23 games. They are 20-46 in the second half.
